I specialize in personal lines insurance; auto, home, life, and health. I have access to multiple carriers, allowing me the opportunity to shop for the best rate with the best carrier. My mission is to make insurance easy to understand. I consider myself an educator, providing peace of mind for life’s biggest “what ifs”. I prefer to build face to face relationships with people that are responsible about protecting their future and their assets. I am licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin and I carry the same attitude with every person I speak to. I live by the motto, “do unto others as you would have others do unto you”.
Angie, where is your office located?
Our office is located in Eden Prairie, at the intersection of Shady Oak Road and Crosstown (Hwy 62).
What did you do before you started working in insurance?
I started working in insurance right out of college. It was my first job after I graduated. During college I worked as a waitress and was a TA for the accounting department at St Bens.
Sounds like accounting was something you enjoyed.
Absolutely. I really enjoyed accounting because there is only one correct answer in an accounting problem and that was really satisfying. I definitely still use my accounting skills everyday. It’s especially useful now that I am running my own business.
Now that you’re running your own agency, how did you learn to differentiate your company from others?
We strive to provide the best personalized service in the industry. All of our associates go through rigorous training before they work with any of our customers. Before they interface with customers we make sure they can provide and demonstrate competence, courtesy, credibility, reliability, and responsiveness. Being responsible for executing day-to-day client-facing communication, our associates are the linkage between our product and customer. If that linkage breaks down, our business is destroyed.
I believe our customers can see and tell the difference between good and bad service.
Now a some questions from our readers:
My main sewer line backed up into my basement and dirty water flooded in. Is that covered by my homeowners insurance?
In most cases, yes. If you experience a sewer backup and your basement is flooded, that would be covered by your homeowners insurance.
What’s covered, clean up, replacement or both?
Most homeowners policies will cover cleaning up the water and contamination as well as the replacement of damaged materials like carpet, drywall and trim. We recommend you call a professional restoration contractor to inspect and mitigate something like that.
Does my credit score affect my premium cost?
Yes they do. According to regulatory associations, there is a direct correlation between credit scores and individuals getting into accidents, and cancellation policies due to non-payment. Therefore, premiums are higher for lower credit scores.
What is the best way to get in touch with you if I want to discuss my insurance options?
Number one is our website. Number two is giving our office a call. We have standard office hours from 8:30 to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and we have an emergency line that we answer live 24 hours a day.
